SA-Eyre Peninsula-Streaky Bay

Here we are at another glorious bay and this large caravan park is across the road from the Streaky Bay school and spreads along the foreshore.
There are two large amenities blocks which are always kept clean.
The small restaurant has eat in or take away meals as well as a handful of basic food items.
Dotted along the foreshore are the fish cleaning areas so we could always see the daily catches. The pelicans always knew when it was feed time and would line up in front of the fishermen jostling positions to catch the scraps.
In the afternoons we would take our beach chairs, our beverage of choice, and sit in the water for a novel cocktail hour.
Early one afternoon we watched a large fin glide from one end of the beach to the other. Apparently the shark was about 12 foot long. While we were staying here for a week the shark alarm went off twice.
A family park member and fees are $22.50 per night.
