Kingscote
This caravan park is at Brownlow which is just before you arrive at Kingscote on the northern end of the island
The amenities block is small with only three toilets and showers which seems inadequate when the park is full. There are a few nice sites with tree shade but very little grass while we were there. Some of the sites have wood chips which is not good if you have a tent.
The roads in the park are dirt and as it was quite windy while we were there the dust blew up each time somebody drove by. There are also a lot of cabins.
The camp kitchen is nicely sheltered and well appointed with stove, microwave, barbeque, toaster, jug and fridge. Lots of chairs and tables make it a very nice place to sit.
The park is just across from the lovely quiet waters of Nepean Bay where there we noticed lots of black swans swimming.
The owners Helen and Con are very friendly.

Western Kangaroo Island Caravan Park
As the name suggests, this park is towards the south western end of the island, close to the Flinders Chase National Park.
This is a large park situated on 550ha of natural bush and grassland which makes for good campsites and lots of shade. The facilities are all very good.
There is abundant wildlife, including koalas.
