Cowell
This was just an overnight stay for us. The caravan park is close to the jetty and nothing special. A few trees with sandy ground. The toilets were new and clean.
We bought a dozen oysters on the way out of town and they were fantastic.

A delightful little park on the foreshore and adjacent to the jetty, has grass sites which is always a pleasure after the dust and gravel of many of the parks in the area.
The amenities blocks are large, clean with piped music which is always a nice touch.
Sunday morning is pancake breakfast for $3.00 each and a great way to meet people. We met Vic and Trixie from Adelaide at this breakfast and as we are all heading west we will look forward to catching up with them on the way. The owners, Belinda and Steven Dunn are very welcoming and make you feel like part of the family.
Within walking distance of the park is the boardwalk which meanders through mangroves, mudflats and small tributaries and water ways. You can stand on the walkways and watch the fish below and hopefully catch something.

This charming little town with pine tree-lined foreshore and some wonderful historic buildings was our favourite of the small towns on this eastern seaboard. Lovely shopping centre and two hotels for dining.
The caravan park is at the southern edge of town right on the foreshore. The town area is within walking distance as is the jetty and swimming area beside the jetty. The water was lovely and warm and we swam here twice.
Most of the sites are grass with small, old, but clean amenities. If I was to travel the Eyre again this would be the only place I would stay at before arriving at Port Lincoln.
