SA- Flinders Ranges-Wilpena Pound

Rawnsley Park Station sits on the edge of Wilpena Pound. It is a large park with many powered and unpowered sites. No grass but most sites are divided by shrubs and there are a few shade trees.
The office has a shop with some basic food items and a lovely swimming pool with a beautiful grassed area. While we were here the temperature was in the 40’s so the pool was heaven.
The amenities blocks are large, clean and a big camp kitchen.
The managers are fantastic and we enjoyed our stay here. We would love to come back in the spring to see the wild flowers and walk the many trails in the area.
As we sat outside at dusk the ringed neck parrots visited and then a herd of sheep ambled over the hill to have a peek at us. It was hilarious.
