Harrington Beach Holiday Park
Harrington is about 20 minutes north of Taree and a short trip off the Pacific Highway. The park is close to the ocean and a short walk to the break wall and into town.
When we checked in, the lady at the counter gave us the usual blurb about the amenities blocks, pool, etc. She then added, “Oh, and by the way, don’t leave any rubbish around, not even your shoes as we have foxes that come around at night, and they love shoes.” I guess when your camp next to a National Park you can expect all sorts.
The pool is lovely with a spa, not heated, but nice to sit in on a warm day and they are busy adding more play areas for children.
The camp barbeque area is large and well appointed. We camped under the trees in lot #79 which was lovely because it was hot during the day.
We stayed here for two days. Enjoyed a great bike ride to Crowdy Head and also to Harrington Waters, the new subdivision which has the golf course, shopping village and Harrigans’ pub on the water.
We were going to stay one more night but the sand flies were annoying, so we packed up and went to Nambucca, about 160ks away, our longest trip so far.
